New Beginnings: Rahman Consulting

Effective communication is transformative.

Movements are inspired by ideas that challenge the status quo and are made possible through partnership and teamwork at scale. Effective communication is essential for any movement to inspire great change.

In service of ensuring that leaders and organizations dedicated to social good have the right partners to help them find their voice and develop their messaging, content strategy, and digital communications, I am thrilled to announce the launch of my digital communications consultancy, Rahman Consulting.

I am so grateful for the journey that has brought me to this new beginning. I always thought of myself as adventurous, but when it came to starting a business, I resisted for longer than I care to share. It’s hard to walk away from the comfort of being able to plug into an organization that someone else has the responsibility of running and receiving a bi-weekly paycheck + benefits.

But that stability is just a perception that can vanish at the drop of the hat. And working for a company means cosigning onto its culture, mission and values. The longer I’ve worked professionally, the more I’ve realized how critical an organization’s leadership is to the culture of an organization and who is empowered versus who is not.

As part of this new venture, I look forward to working with clients who share my organization’s values as partners, to leading with kindness and compassion, to embodying equity and inclusivity in a demonstrable way, and to prioritizing courage over convenience.
